When is creative too creative?
Creativity is an essential quality which is present in all aspects of our lives. It is in our way of thinking, presenting, building, preaching, and even the little daily chores we do at home. If we are not imaginative and innovative with ourselves, life becomes pretty boring doesn’t it?

Design Basics: Always carry a notebook
Creative success requires us to plant seeds and play the infinite game. A notebook is fertile soil in which you can plant those seeds. While you could plant the same seeds on your computer, just think of all the other seeds that have been planted there. The likelihood of the seed bearing fruit in a digital wasteland is lessened.

Ask good questions and get better answers
Asking the right questions is critical to business success because it helps you uncover information that you may not have otherwise known. When you ask the right questions, you can identify problems, gain insight into customer needs, and make informed decisions about your business. Conversely, if you ask the wrong questions, you may miss important information or even make decisions based on faulty assumptions.
Kaba Creative has directed the Dallas Pottery Invitational marketing campaigns for more than 15 years. During that time, our sales have grown beyond our wildest dreams. From creating and maintaining our website, to strategic planning, to creating and producing supplemental materials, to social networking, and to organizing the artists (which is mostly like herding cats), KabaCreative full service has allowed us to concentrate on what we do best, which is make art.
When I transitioned from a big corporate to an entrepreneurial position I soon realized I needed help marketing my new business. I’ve know Karla for a very long time and always admired her creativity and work ethic. Those traits she always had, but it wasn’t until we collaborated on Oddbird Product Creation that I got to know her as Kaba Creative. She is still that creative, imaginative person I’ve known, but I also learned that her attention to detail is truly remarkable. She thinks through a project completely, executes every planned step and quickly adapts to situational changes. The project results were fantastic, I am thrilled with the website and brand imagery that Kaba Creative created for us.
For nearly a decade, 211 Communications has partnered with Kaba Creative on various projects big and small. The quality of Karla’s work can easily be understood via its visual aesthetic. However, what’s hidden behind that is a critical, collaborative work style that is not often found with designers or digital marketers. Karla digs in with you and truly explores the subject matter so that she develops a strong working knowledge of your business and messaging. That skill allows her to then develop strategies and designs that are equally as unique as they are impactful.
My wife and I recently started a new business venture, Shady Oaks Vacation Rentals. We were interested in developing our own website to further reach customers without relying on third party booking platforms. Nervous and overwhelmed about this venture, Kaba Creative gave us the reassurance we needed to pull the trigger. They quickly helped us develop an amazing website, marketing tools and materials that met our objectives perfectly. To say we could not have done this without Kaba Creative is an understatement. We now rest in knowing our vacation rental business is a huge success.
